We recommend brushing your teeth twice a day, flossing daily, eating a healthy diet, and coming in for regular dental check-ups and cleanings.

Yes, we can recommend snoring and sleep apnea treatments to help patients get a better night's sleep.

How often should I replace my toothbrush?


We recommend replacing your toothbrush every three to four months, or sooner if the bristles are frayed or worn. We also recommend an electric toothbrush to help with your home care.

How can I make my dental appointment more comfortable?

How long will my first dental appointment last?


Your first dental appointment may last between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. We will perform a thorough oral examination which includes an oral cancer screening, a periodontal examination, and a complete set of x-rays.

Will I get my teeth cleaned at my first appointment?


No, it is extremely important to have a thorough examination first. Only then can appropriate dental hygiene treatment be prescribed for you.

About Us

Dr. Joseph S. Grimaud is a third generation St. Louis dentist with more than 30 years of experience. Dr. Grimaud's family has been providing dental care to patients of all ages since 1912. Dr. Grimaud currently works alongside three sisters and three nieces.
